About oh my qr
A free, no-account QR code generator
What we built and why
Most QR code generators fall into one of two categories: free tools that add a watermark to every download, or paid tools that lock basic features behind a subscription. We found this frustrating. Generating a QR code is a straightforward technical operation and should not cost anything or require creating an account.
oh my qr was built to be genuinely free. No watermarks. No account required. No usage limits for normal use. Download as PNG or SVG. The site is supported by non-intrusive display advertising, which keeps it free for everyone.
The styling capabilities came from a real need: QR codes on marketing materials, business cards, and branded packaging look better when they match the brand. A generic black-and-white code can feel like an afterthought. oh my qr lets you use your brand colors, add your logo, and choose a dot style so the QR code looks like it was designed, not just generated.
How it works
The tool runs in two stages. As you fill in the form, the live preview on the right updates instantly using a JavaScript QR library running in your browser. No server calls, no delay. This gives you immediate feedback on your design choices.
When you click Generate, the form data is sent to our API, which produces the final image server-side with exact color rendering, full gradient compositing, and precise logo placement. This server-rendered version is the one you download. The two-stage approach keeps the experience fast while ensuring the final output matches your design exactly.
Nothing you enter is stored on our servers. Your QR code is generated on demand and returned to your browser. We do not retain content, URLs, or any data you enter into the tool.
What oh my qr supports
Nine content types: URL, plain text, email, phone number, SMS, WhatsApp, WiFi credentials, contact card (vCard), and calendar event. Design options include six dot styles, full color control with three independent color pickers, linear and radial gradients, logo overlay (from a built-in library of major brand logos, or your own PNG upload), transparent background, and a bottom banner text field.
Output formats are PNG (high resolution, suitable for web and standard print) and SVG (vector, suitable for large-format print at any size). The interface is fully responsive and works on smartphones and tablets as well as desktop.
